WhatSyncWhat WhatSync saves and what your AI sees
WhatSync keeps everything your phone sends it. Your plan and your settings decide what you and your AI can see. Nothing is thrown away because of a plan or a setting, so changing either one can show more.
By plan
- What does the free trial include?
- 7 days. It saves your first 500 new messages from one-on-one chats, with up to 100 MB of files. It also shows your newest 1,000 older messages: 500 from one-on-one chats and 500 from groups. Those older messages do not count toward the 500. Saving new group messages needs a paid plan.
- How many older messages do I get?
- On the free trial, Plus and Pro: your newest 1,000 older messages, 500 from one-on-one chats and 500 from groups. On Max and up: everything WhatSync has kept, as far back as your phone sent it, and WhatSync keeps asking your phone for older chats in the background. Plus and Pro do not fetch more in the background.
- What happens when I move to Max?
- Everything WhatSync kept appears: all your older messages, every group, and the messages kept while your trial was full or paused. You don't need to link again. Your settings still decide which chats are shown.
- What happens to messages that arrive when my trial is full or has ended?
- They are kept, not thrown away, while your WhatsApp stays linked. Your AI can't see them until you pick a plan. On any paid plan they appear as soon as the plan starts.
- How much do Pro and Max read each day?
- Pro reads your voice notes, photos and scanned pages every day, up to a daily limit. Max reads 3x as much as Pro each day. Anything over the day's limit is read the next day.
Groups
- Are my groups saved?
- On every paid plan, yes: all your groups are saved by default, including groups you join later. The free trial shows a sample of your groups (your newest older group messages); saving new group messages starts with a paid plan.
- How do I hide a group?
- In Settings, under Groups, keep "All groups except…" and untick the group. Or choose "Only these groups" and tick just the ones you want. A hidden group is kept, not deleted, so it comes back if you tick it again.
- Why can't my AI see a group?
- Check three things in Settings: that Groups is on, that the group is not unticked, and that you are on a paid plan (the free trial shows only a sample of groups). If it was unticked, tick it and its messages appear again.
One-on-one chats
- What does "Everyone except" do?
- It hides chats with the people on your list from WhatSync's dashboard and from your AI. Their messages are kept, not deleted. Take someone off the list and their chat appears again. People added by mistake are easy to miss: if an important contact is missing, check this list first.
- What does "Only these people" do?
- Only chats with the people on your list are shown. Everyone else is hidden from WhatSync and your AI, and kept, not deleted.
- How do I delete a chat for good?
- Remove it in Chats in your dashboard. That deletes its messages, files and kept copies from WhatSync; your WhatsApp does not change. "Remove all saved chats" in Settings deletes everything and runs in the background. Hiding a chat in settings does not delete it.
